Wait what. i don't have access to a PC right now so can't test but never noticed this before. As I rule I tend to declare locals in the main procedure anyway. But I'm pretty sure declaring a local in talk or hit or any of the usual predefined procedures should make them available to the entire script too? Weird.

Unless you're talking about custom procedures, they run on their own script number and don't share locals.
