Games anyone?
So im bored, and im wondering if anyone knows of any decent free games i can download/play on my laptop?
As always i come to the DN for solutions.
Keep in mind my laptop can just barely run minecraft semi-smoothly...
Which is weird since sims 3 runs perfectly fine. o.o
anyways yeah, lemme know, ive allready looked through steam :/

I was recently seeing if I could get Survival Crisis Z running in Windows 7 (it seems like it's possible). It's a pretty good sandbox survival-horror game. Don't let the cartoony MSPaint sprites fool you, it is a pretty tense and freaky game that becomes more and moreso as you progress (mostly due to the skillful use of sfx).
That is pretty weird. Sims 3 is laggy as all hell with the constant day to day activities sims do across the towns even when the camera's near them.
Free to play games are tough to come by. Either you get something bad, entertaining, or either with a micro transaction service that pesters you to buy bonus exp potions or some other crap.
Way back when, I played a shitload of Adventure Quest and Dragonfable. I hacked Adventure Quest due to bullshit grinding and there's still more to do. Hacked Dragonfable to back when the cap was level 50. Artix Entertainment can suck a giant rotted cock for making you pay for memberships on every single one of their games. Assholes.
I've tried Champions Online which is the first free to play I tried on Steam as far as I can recall. I played it for a while, but I eventually gave up due to not finding anything to do or something.
Another super hero one I did was DC Universe Online which I didn't play as long for probably similar reasons.
Fallen Earth was an empty piece of crap with decent combat I guess. What came out of that were the names of some characters in my piece of shit book I'm slowly adding to if you ever want to know where the hell such weird name came from.
There's Team Fortress 2 I guess, but making a server is ducking impossible now.
APB Reloaded was hilarious until it either was glitching, or they removed the ability to ride in cars together. Saints Row replaced it.
Warframe was cool, but I remember the first boss being a total damage sponge with a bunch of minions. Because...that's totally how you make a boss. Although, I don't think that's going to run well on your laptop. It'll probably blow it up.
Roblox is surprisingly pretty good. Search for the tycoons and obbys. They don't ever get old.
Amazing World was also pretty good...until level 10 when it cuts off your access to make you subscribe. Those poor children being scammed so hard. But that's the same company that brought you plushie skylanders. Toys plus a game = easy brainwashing. "Mawmmy, can you pay a billion dollars on toys and a game? I like the game and I can't play it anymore! WAAAH"
Dink Smallwood Online was crazy. Too bad the servers died. That was one of the best, but too many people were running around with herb boots and hellfire. Those Darklands Raids, man. You missed out.
Or you could use an actual computer and join my horrible quest in a subscription based one. I'm ducking lonely.

Try downloading Nester emulator (for nintendo), and then go to Romworld.com or Romnation.com, and find games for it, there are descriptions, screenshots etc. Nester is small program (less than 1 Mb), and my favorite games are Faxanadu, Ironsword.
PS
On windows 7 - 64bit, nester can have some colour issues... No fix for that, but try

romnation and romworld blocked the NES roms due to copyright. Also, Nester sucks. I recommend getting FCEUX.
That Survival Crisis Z looks pretty cool ,I like that kind of graphics!
Actually they reminded me of 2 very cool free games you NEED TO TRY.
First is "Gun Play" and the second one is "My friend Pedro".
Oh and then there's the "Stranded" series! 1 and 2 are out and free, and there will be a future 3. All of them have lots of mods and new maps. And you can actually create your own map ingame! And about the game, well, the name says it all!

AND JUST WHERE THE DUCK WAS I WHEN THIS HAPPENED?!

Yeah, SCZ was one of my fav's back around when it came out, just before the Zombie Horror Survival craze hit. It has a lot of RPG elements as you try to get better gear and skills for your character, take over bases and discovering new loot and new horrors. There's also a hidden storyline if you progress far enough to find it.

Looking back, you joined a couple days after we all said our goodbyes to the game. Where we you a couple days before joining?

When was Dink Smallwood online made & why can't we bring it back, but maybe with temporary uber weapons like herb boots?
For an online game that is fun I'd suggest something like Cards against humanity or Agar, but I think you don't mean those.
You could try to buy some cheapish games, Plants vs. Zombies was fun for me, but you could probably do something like old Runescape. If you lived close enough I could lend you games, but I doubt you're one of the se*y singles in my area.

Back when Fireball5 was still around. We played it non-stop, I'd say. Then he said he's going away on some religious mission or whatever and had to shut off the servers. We later heard that they were sold...
Such a shame. gmcx.has.it was much better than the Dink network.
Ah, gmcx.has.it is down, too? There goes our last hope of ever seeing Dink Smallwood Online again until fireball's done with the mission.
Fireball, please. We all miss the game. We can hardly live without it.

What was the religious mission, a pilgrimage or was he trying to find the great holy golden banana?
Some mormon mission or whatever. Few years of total brainwashing probably. Been a while, though.
Maybe they told him Dink is bad and now we're screwed and will have to find out how he made Dink Smallwood Online.

Time for a religous kidnapping!
Heh, just tried loading SCZ on Win7 and got pretty far in getting it to work, though the trouble is that the randomly generated city is completely scrambled so that everything is just a big chaotic mess where you're never sure if you're outdoors or indoors because it all just runs together.
i couldn't get it going on Win8, which came as no surprise... But still im bummed cuz i saw all the screenshots and stuff for the game and it looks cool
Oh, you didn't say your laptop is windows 8.
Yeah, then there's nothing you can play.

A GUIDE TO RUN GAMES ON WINDOWS 8
1. You cant.

That's a pretty good tutorial, but I think you missed a step -
1 - You can't.
2 - Vista might be able to, though.

If you like TBS, you could try Battle for Wesnoth. It might be slow on a laptop, though.
Try a room escape game called Out Of Order. It's pretty fun, small in size and time consuming. It has like 2D characters though.
