I have played the whole game by cheating in order not to get killed by that stupid taxman! Somone has posted somthing but It dosn't make sense... Get rid of my money.... Then I wont have any!! Anyone have an Idea?
The taxman is an anti-cheat protection. If you cheated to get money then the taxman shows up.
Get rid of your money and get some more: there are a few hidden chests in Fire Woods or if you're past there go and gamble in Porttown's inn with lucky dice. Or you could fight the dragon, he gives you LOTS of gold.
If this doesn't help then it's your choice, death or taxes...

This has never happened to me when I play PQ. Then again, I never cheat...
But it's smart what Simon did to make it so that if you cheat the taxman comes up. Very, very smart...

But it won't appear if the world is destroyed*grins*.

I HATE that tax man. Why did that Simon guy do this? I like to cheat. I like being able to have LOTS of gold. Well, at least you can still max out your stats with no problems, but COME ON! No gold cheats! #@$%^$
Isn't there anyway to remove that from the game? How on earth did he put that in anyways?

To remove it would be a lot of trouble. To avoid it is fairly easy...
But I won't tell you how

Aww come on. Please tell me. To quote Dink from that dmod when he talk to that tree, "Pretty please with a cherry on top".
I think i know...Change stats and then go kill some monsters that gives you a LOT of gold.Anyway i written that the taxman won't appear when the world will be ruled by evil dammit!
The taxman is easy to outwit. Just accept the life blood payment and use a cheat to set your life to max while it's draining (the more life you have, the more time you have to put in the cheat). This way you keep your items and your life as well.
Just keep in mind that the taxman will continue to show up after this. But that shouldn't be a problem since you've bought all the good stuff and have little reason to go back

I tried that. As soon as I use the cheat menu to restore all life points my blood vanishes in an instant.
Do you know anything about DinkC scripting? See the source code and look at the paying bits in the shopkeepers' scripts.

I think he has a script to check "Legit gold," when you pick up gold that is dropped by monsters or chests, or sell an item, it'll add that amount to your legit gold score as well as your gold count. Buying things would set it downwards, of course. However, if you cheat to get gold, your &maxgold (or whatever the variable is) would be greater than your legit gold is.
Use the save game editor
Change your gold to a Number
then save, OR yo
Change your gold to a Number
then save, OR yo
That is because your life variable already is 0 but it waits till it drains on your screen for a realistic effect.
"That is because your life variable already is [0,] but it waits till it drains on your screen for a realistic effect." (dinkinfreak)
Yeah, you'd need something that simply raises it by a certain amount to work, if even (I know it works if the life is drained by a harmful number).

You can't avoid it, cause of the Dink script system: Life goes to 0, immediately after that the death script is on the queue, your request for life+ is put later on the queue. Dink dies and there's absolutely nothing to do for that. :\
That's not true, it's not triggered until the life bar physically reaches zero. I think Renodil's problem is that the cheat he is using draws the status bar (instantly setting life to the correct value), but I have used this exploit successfully many times.
"I think Renodil's problem is that the cheat he is using draws the status bar (instantly setting life to the correct value)..." (scratcher)
Yes, that's what I'm thinking. Ultimate Cheat sets the life bar where it is supposed to be BEFORE restoring health. However, using a full heal (such as asking either of the psychics in Cloud Castle 2 to heal you) when your health should be dropping to 0 will cause it to rise to it's max without dropping anymore.

Use ultimate cheat to reheal but you have to wait till health starts to drop in order to cheat and play threw go to a shop buy all the weps and armor then use ultimate cheat to heal leave shop go back in and buy another thing let tax man take all your money then just sell the items to the owner that you just bought youll be rich and no more taxes
What I did was get money, buy stuff, run from building, go into some other place where the tax man only takes money, and let him take money. I have what I want, and don't need that cheated money. If you want to still have money, buy stuff you don't need and sell it, just like Stevo said.
I think the best idea is to not cheat
Only time I ever cheat is to restore health or at least give me a Claw Sword for some extra damage, usually I dont even use a stat cheat.

How do you cheat on this game anyway ?
would love to know, so that i can get my stats up.
And if you do get your stats up really high, shouldn't you be able to kill the tax man if he turns up ?

When the taxman shows up, the game freezes so you are not able to kill him.

Kill things and level up.
Cheating is for games that the author's made impossible without cheating, or for nucakes.

The only cheat i ever used is overleveling ok ok if you coun't death trowing weapons as chats then that too. but for actual cheats i never use them my biggest weapon usually is my patience.(i have that in abundance). But imho cheating is only good for beta testing and not for actual gameplay.
for that game, i just used dinkedit and copied lots of gold chests, and potions.
or i used that life thing. but i used a diffrent cheat system that fills up your life when you press j.

In machine mnt. there is a shop where you can buy all weapons. Just go to that shop. Use the cheat for gold. Buy all the weapons from him. Now talk to anyone there and the Taxman comes. Now give him all your gold. The weapons will be with you. Now you can keep the weapons you need and sell the others to the person in the house below for gold. Hope it may have helped you. Good luck.
