Quest for Dorinthia: Special Edition
A thread to discuss Quest for Dorinthia Special Edition, which shall remain stickified for the foreseeable future. Why?
- For general discussion: Your thoughts on the d-mod. Is the combat too hard? Too easy? Too sticky? Has the plot enveloped your soul and stolen your heart?
- Questions for the author: Be they about the development of the d-mod, about a particular character or quest, or about how much coffee the author imbibed whilst mapping out the Infinite Dungeon of Despair.
- Updates from the author: Maybe a patch is on the way? Or they want to know how you responded to specific sections they were concerned/excited about.
- To draw attention to the d-mod: Because the author deserves respect, dammit.

Still in the process of doing a Let's Play for this I'm trying to record it all before I start releasing the parts though, to get around my dedication problems
Nice idea! I love being a sticky. Feel free to let me have it in here guys. I welcome your feedback.
If I can ask, what was your incentive to do a Special Edition release instead of working on a new d-mod instead? I mean, I know you're working on the new one now, but there must have been a reason (nostalgia maybe?) for prioritizing the remake and the revision of QDF2.
Don't get me wrong though, I like remakes that are not just ports but add sensible new content.

I originally started tinkering with QFD because I was trying to play it on the iPad and it didn't work. There was some show stopping bugs. As I started fixing things - I just went crazy.
If the show stopping bugs were coming from DinkHD, would you mind sharing them? I plan to make my D-Mod as compatible with DinkHD as possible, and some insight to some known problems could save some grief down the road.
My scripting was crap and I didn't close bracket things correctly or consistently. DINKHD is not as forgiving. I'm having problems with QFD SE with the Dink running away cut scene on FreeDink. It won't change the screens correctly.
Unstickying these cos they're not very recent any more!
